Desta’s Dictionary and Encyclopedia Vol. 1

Can you imagine looking at a dictionary and seeing one set of defintions for one group of people and another set of definitions for another group? That’s exactly what’s done today in the  mainstream media, in classrooms and everyday speech. Naturally, this will resort in alot of chaos and confusion. Because of this, I have taken it upon myself to go and give  clear and straightword definitions and explanations to alot of people, places, and things in order to set the record straight and help to bring about equality to the words that we use. This is going to be an ongoing process that will take years to do, so I will present the first draft of it below. Feel free to add on!

Adolph Hitler-european man who colonized other europeans

explanation: The only difference between Hitler and other mass murderers was who he killed. If he had killed 11 million non-europeans, he might have been given a holiday. But instead, he only did to europeans what they did to everyone else. Shame on him.

Amber Alert-alert sent out whenever a white child goes missing.

explanation: Black and Latino children either never go missing or are not important enough to publicly look for.

anti-Semitic-empty term that Jews and Jewish sympathizers like to throw around that changes meaning everytime its used. Usually it has to do with any type of attack, no matter how justified, on either Israel, the Holocaust, Judaism, Zionism or something that a person that was Jewish did. Despite the fact that Semitic is simply just a language group, and that both Jewish and Arab people speak Semitic languages, its something that only seems to only be applicable to white, european Jewss

Dark Ages-Period of about 500 years when warfare and ignorance ruled over europe. Similar to what’s happening in Africa today.

desegregation-when a limited amount of minorities are allowed to enter into white institiutions, but somehow no white resources can enter into minority institutions

democracy-social policies that are acceptable to the United States

explanation: Democracy only seems to exist in countries that are friendly to the United States, no matter how oppressive they can be to their own citizens. Examples include Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Peru, Rwanda, Uganda, etc.

discovery-when europeans figure out something that the rest of the world already knows

examples: Christopher Columbus discovered America, a place that had already been inhabited by millions of indigenous people. Copernicus discovered that the Earth went around the Sun, which Africans, Native Americans and Asians already knew

explanation: Europe is not really a continent. It’s not even surrounded by all sides on water.

explanation: A not so long time ago, only white people could attend certain schools. Today, if you give people admission because their ancestors attended a school that discriminated against minorities, then you are giving them a pretty big advantage don’t you think?

explanation: when Africans or other people of color erect fixtures to honor special people or events, its called a shrine. When Europeans do it, its called a monument.

explanation: when Africans or other people of color erect statues to represent various aspects of God, they are called idols or fetishes. When white people do it to honor angels and saints, they call them statues.

terrorism-organized violence that is not in support of the United States or its white counterparts

explanation: when despite the fact that terrorism has been the foreign policy of most white countries against the rest of the world, they are never considered terrorists

Thanksgiving-american holiday involving ritual animal sacrifice that celebrates the genocide of millions of Native Americans

tribe-pre-colonial non-european nation

example: The Iroquois of North America had a peaceful confederacy of six different groups, with a sophisticated civilization and a constitution that allegedly influenced the American one, and yet they are a tribe. And europeans who did not have any of the above are called nations.

tribalism-conflicts between pre-colonial non-european nations

example: Just about every conflict in Africa is always considered to be a “tribal one.” For instance, the formation of a country like Nigeria, that has over 100 million people and over 250 ethnic groups would be the equivalent of putting the european nations of england, france and germany, Denmark and netherlands into one nation and expecting them all to just “get along.” In europe, some of these same nations engaged in “100 years wars”, and not just one but two world wars, and yet they have the audiacity to call other people “tribalist”
